Location: Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland
Contract Type: Full-Time / Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join a leading European contractor delivering large-scale, mission-critical data centre projects in Finland. This is a senior site-based role with responsibility for overseeing electrical construction activities, managing subcontractors, and driving quality, safety, and programme performance across multiple work fronts.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical electrical packages on a technically complex hyperscale project, working closely with project management, QA/QC, commercial, and commissioning teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all on-site electrical construction activities in line with project requirements.
  • Lead site Quality Assurance activities in coordination with the QA/QC Manager, ensuring works meet specifications, drawings, and project standards.
  • Support the project programme by preparing and managing short-term look-ahead schedules (two-week and rolling plans).
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage labour resources to ensure productivity targets are achieved.
  • Supervise electrical subcontractors, monitoring progress against schedules, manpower trackers, and productivity benchmarks.
  • Identify, record, and report variations, delays, and potential risks to the Project Management team.
  • Verify that all plant, equipment, and materials delivered to site meet project specifications and are correctly stored.
  • Drive high standards of Health & Safety compliance and safe working practices across all electrical works.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture, including completion of weekly safety observations and “Don’t Walk By” interventions.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across work areas.
  • Collaborate with Package Managers to implement company procedures and best practice site controls.
  • Manage change control processes, ensuring programme and cost impacts are identified, tracked, and mitigated.
  • Support project close-out activities including punch lists, O&M manuals, QA documentation, safety files, and material handover.
  • Work closely with the Site Project Manager to ensure smooth handover to commissioning and client teams.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant electrical qualification essential (City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC / BTEC, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar Electrical Construction Management role.
  • Previous experience on large-scale data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission-critical projects strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of LV and MV electrical systems.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors, labour resources, and construction programmes.
  • Solid understanding of QA/QC processes, change control, and variation management.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or similar planning and scheduling tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Health & Safety and driving a positive site safety culture.

What’s on Offer

  • €85,000 – €105,000 base salary (dependent on experience).
  • Full rotational package including accommodation, travel, and €1,000 net living allowance.
  • Long-term role on a flagship hyperscale data centre project in Finland.
  • Opportunity to work with a contractor recognised for technical excellence and strong delivery standards.
  • Clear career progression into Senior Construction Management or Project Management roles.
  • Professional, collaborative site environment with strong project support.
